Start here: What is this blog about?
When I started this website, I heeded the training I received during my doctoral program and wrote every day, whatever came to mind. Now, you don’t see the first drafts or even all the drafts, but the topics flowed naturally. That means that whatever was most salient at the time was what floated to the proverbial top.
That being said, I put quite a bit of thought into starting this site, and there are specific areas which I am keen to explore and to cover. I’d like to share those here.
Given my background, my writing focuses on the intersection of business, higher education, and gender, with a little bit of real life thrown in, given that I have worked in all three of these spaces.
So, what does that mean?
Business topics include anything from corporate life to strategy to management consulting, for those who are in or would like to be in this sector
Higher Education subjects pontificate on trends, new policies, or day-to-day happenings that are relevant to current and future higher education leaders
Gender posts relate to my own research on women’s advancement as well as real-life manifestations of the topic, providing insights for both scholars and women in the workplace
Obviously, these things are not mutually exclusive, so you will see some intersection between two or even all three of these subjects. Let me know if these areas resonate with you and if there are specific topics you’d like to read about. I look forward to continuing this journey with all of you.
